I built this practice after years of watching the property-damage claim system work exactly the way it's designed to — and not always in the policyholder's favor. Every estimate sits on one side of the table. Every supplement sits on the other. The question is which side has the technical vocabulary, the credentials, and the documentation discipline to make the numbers hold up.

My background is on the carrier and contractor side of that table. I've written the estimates they use to approve or deny. I've seen the line items that routinely get missed, the code-required upgrades that get argued down, and the legitimate add-ons that never make it into the final scope. I started GDB Building Consultants to bring that same level of rigor to the policyholder's side — independent of carriers and contractors, paid by the homeowner or their representative, and accountable only to the standard of care a credentialed expert owes the claim.

In practice, that means every file here is reviewed under IICRC standards, scoped in Xactimate at Level-3 fidelity, and documented to withstand adjuster scrutiny before it's ever submitted. It means a credentialed estimator picks up your intake — not a sales rep, not a generalist — and the same person is on the file from first-look through the last supplement.

That's what "your side of the table" means: the technical expertise that carriers take for granted on their side, deployed on yours.
